Lucy finished her AKC Championship on Dec 17, 2010 at Starved Rock Kennel Club in Wheaton, IL!
What a great Christmas present Lucy gave us this year, by getting a 2 point win under Judge Mrs Ann Hearn and finishing her AKC Champion Title. Lucy took Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex. This win put her at 16 points. Fifteen points and two majors under two judges is the requirement for an AKC Champion title. This is not an easy feat in the highly competitive Labrador Retreiver ring and we are so proud of our girl!
Ambridge Turn Me Loose (Lucy) takes her second Major!
After spending 7 months home and just being our faithful, loyal and loving companion, Lucy went back in the ring on Nov 19th and 20th at the Mid-Ohio Cluster in Columbus, OH. She took her second Major with Winner's Bitch, Best of Opposite Sex, and Best of Winners for the Labrador Breed under Judge Mrs. Carol Summerfelt. This now leaves her sitting with 14 points towards her AKC Championship.

Ambridge Turn Me Loose takes numerous wins including a Sporting Group 2nd, her first weekend in the Ring.
Other than a couple fun matches as a puppy, Lucy had never entered the competitive ring. On her first weekend showing, she knocked our socks off by earning points three of the four days at the Livonia/Oakland Kennel Club in Detroit in early 2010.
Her first win came on Jan 21st at Livonia Kennel Club taking Winner's Bitch, Best Opposit Sex (BOS) and Best of Winners (BOW) in her very first appearance under Judge Frank Washabaugh We were so poroud of our girl for earning her first 2 pts.
On Jan 22nd, we were equally pleased wehn she took Winners Bitch, and BOW under Judge Ann Hearn for another 2 pts
Then on Jan 24th, Lucy turned it loose and nabbed a Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed under Judge James White at the Oakland Kennel Club show in Detroit. But the day was not over! She went on to take a 2nd place in the sporting group beating out over 200 other dogs in that group. Wow! What a first weekend it was and we are so happy that Lucy's Sire's Owner, Kathy Wiecha of Honadore Labradors, was there to see all the wins!
